As most of you know, we have a beautiful swimming pool in River's Run. And as many of you may have noticed, it is CLOSED almost ten months of the year. Presently, it is only accessible during the summer vacation months, when it is possible to have lifeguards posted (as they are also students, and are only free these two months). But what's the point of having a community pool, that the community can't even enjoy more than 3/4th of the year?? Especially when we are all being charged pool maintenance fees for the entire year.

What I'm proposing is that we have our neighborhood pool OPEN ALL-YEAR ROUND! You may have seen several other community pools that do so, are open 6 am to 9 pm and follow the 'swim at your own risk' rule, which means that everyone needs to be responsible when swimming without a lifeguard posted. And for those who feel safer swimming with a lifeguard present, they may do so in the summer months, when that is possible. But for everyone else, who would enjoy going for a dip throughout the rest of the year when they have the time, this is a great rule. Of course, this means that if you bring your kids to the pool, you do need to be responsible and they should be under supervision at all times. But I know our community is made up of responsible adults and parents, so we got that covered right?

So if you would like to enjoy having access to our River's Run pool throughout the year, please sign this petition and share it with the rest of our neighbors so that I can bring this to the HOA's attention soon. Thank you all!
