How has this not happened already? Sure the moon doesn't belong to anyone, but that's mostly because it has no natives (that we know of). So as the only country to actually put people on the surface, why don't we just make it official and make the moon a state? What made America great was our pursuit of knowledge and betterment. Instead of closing our boarders off, I say we push them to the farthest we can get them and never stop. And the moon is just the beginning... Plus if any other countries get upset about it, it could possibly lead to World War III, but it wouldn't be on the world, so it would basically be a real life star war, which while terrible, would be kinda awesome.
