A few weeks ago, a budget was released showing that they may need to cut a lot of services in my town (including the entire elementary school music program!). In the wake of that, I saw TONS of people coming together to work for the betterment of our town. Seeing this, I was moved to write an anthem for Norwood, and I feel that having an "official" town anthem would unite people and maybe help to make our town a little bit better!

Norwood In Our Hearts
From the mother town of Dedham
We wanted to break free
To forge our future from the land
Our own identity
To fight for independence
And help keep Concord land
Captain Guild left plough in furrow
And let his oxen stand
The bell tower soars over the center of town
Fields where the children play
Our Mustang pride for the blue and gold
Within us every day
However far we go in life
Within our hearts so deep
The beautiful Town of Norwood
We will be sure to keep
