Clairmont Road serves thousands of motorists each day and traffic on Clairmont has increased significantly over the years. Motorists know too well the driving hazards caused by the lack of turn lanes – no place for cars to wait to turn, drivers trying to get around stopped cars, traffic backing up. Accidents regularly result.
To help ensure the safety of our entire community – students, parents, neighbors, faculty, passing motorists – Cliff Valley School is pursuing a permit to construct a new campus entrance, including safety improvements on Clairmont Road. The new entrance will be safe, environmentally sound, attractive, and will include turning lanes on Clairmont Road that will benefit all Clairmont motorists by improving safety and traffic flow.
The Georgia DOT has reviewed and recommended Cliff Valley's plan. The campus entrance and turning lanes will be funded entirely by Cliff Valley School. Clairmont Road motorists will enjoy increased safety at zero taxpayer expense.
Please help make Clairmont Road safer by signing this petition, which will be presented to the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners.

My kids go to school nearby and the lack of a turn lane makes me nervous every morning. Do the right thing and approve this plan.
been waiting for this forever! so glad the school is paying for it because we definitely need the turning lanes.
I drive this road every day for work and it is absolutely terrifying when someone slams on their brakes because a car ahead is turning. Needs to happen NOW.
Finally. The traffic on Clairmont is a nightmare during school hours. Someone is going to get seriously hurt if they dont fix this soon.
It is about time. People drive way to fast and you have nowhere to go when traffic backs up.
