The board wants to close Mahoning to try to save costs. They are unsure of what costs this will save. They are also not aware of the downfalls that will come with the closing of Mahoning. They are not aware of the benfits of small class sizes. Also keeping Mahoning open does not have a great impact on taxes as they are leading people to believe.
