Should LSU start an All Girl Cheerleading team? If you are one of the many people that feel an All Girl Cheer team is needed and wanted at LSU, please sign this petition.
I have been hearing from so many former cheerleaders who wish they had this opportunity when they were on campus. It confirms exactly why I started this and keeps me motivated to push for the change we deserve.

Seeing this level of excitement for an All Girl team at LSU feels surreal. My daughter and so many talented athletes have been dreaming of this opportunity and your response proves we are finally being seen.

Absolutely!! I am a coach just outside of the Baton Rouge area and the amount of talent I see that is wasted at the college level is sickening! We have nationally ranked teams here in this state and girls that want to cheer! Let's give them more opprounities to cheer! In my opinion, its long overdue!

Absolutely! LSU has a fabulous cheer program and it is unfortunate that girls lacking the size and or skill to fly on a coed team cannot participate. LA is home to nationally ranked high school cheer programs such as Live Oak, and the athlete graduating from these programs need an opportunity to cheer for a prestigious all-girl team in their home state.

an all girl cheerleading team would provide a greater possibility for success of LSU at nationals. This could possibly broaden LSU's name and therefore encourage more individuals to attend LSU.

I was advised not to even try out for LSU's coed team because I was too big (5'5, 120lbs). I would have loved the opportunity to continue my cheerleading carreer in college and an all-girl team would have done just that.

Hi. My name is Emily Hiestand, and I've been curious as to when an all girl team at LSU would be considered. I have always wanted to attend college close to home, and I am in love with cheerleading. I feel the need for an all girl team at LSU is imperative because women athletes are having to turn down the one school they have wanted go attend because of an all girl team being offered. I hope you will consider including an all girl cheerleading team in the future because I can promise you the majority of talented cheerleaders in the state of Louisiana would be willing to drop the plans they have made to cheer closer to home. Thank you!!

Too many top ranking all girl high school teams in Louisiana not to have an all girl team at LSU.
