University of Dayton students, we need your support to get a sorority league started in intramural sports! We have had only a fraternity league for too long and need to be the voice that encourages women in athletics! When I asked why we don’t already have a sorority league, the answer I have received is “There isn’t a demand.” Let’s show them that we are the demand! As a supervisor for Competitive Sports I, with the help of my coworkers, have the platform to actually put this in action but I need the student body’s support to get it going! There are a multitude of benefits from initiating sorority leagues including:

-healthy competition between sororities

-empowering women in sports

-encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle (one of the core values of UDCR)

-women will now have the opportunity to be on three teams for a given sport (women’s, coed, and special league) rather than two (just women’s and coed)

-overall better look for UD for being an advocate of all sexes in athletics
