Get Loudoun Out of the Phase 2 Rail Boondoggle

As a taxpayer in Loudoun County, I am outraged that the Board of Supervisors is even considering paying $1 billion to build two terminals and extend rail from the airport into Loudoun County. The costs for this proposed project should not be paid by taxpayers and toll-road users. It is a money black hole and it will compete with schools, roads and other worthwhile projects for taxpayer funding. Since the benefits of this project would be reaped by developers, unions, and a select few well-positioned businesses, they are more than welcome to foot the bill. I agree with Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli when he said this project is an “economic boondoggle”..."It's a rip-off...“ Any plan to go forward with this Rail-To-Dulles Bailout at the expense of Loudoun County should be dropped immediately by voting to “Opt Out”.
