McAuliffe claims Northern Virginians support giving the 2 current untolled I-66 HOV lanes to a foreign based toll company; want four lanes (two each way on I-66) to be tolled 24/7 outside 495; favor high drive tolls on 66 inside I-495; want only three non-tolled lanes on 66 instead of the present four outside I-495.
If the I-66 tolls are similar to I-95 toll pricing, tolls will cost $69/day round trip from Haymarket to DC during peak hours. Your tolls (and $2,200+ fines) will profit the company running the toll lanes outside the Beltway (I-495), and inside the Beltway tolls will pay for bike lanes, bus routes or other transit projects.
