We, the undersigned, wish to show local support for a 20mph zone in the Lower Oldfield Park area.
The zone should cover Brougham Hayes, Lower Oldfield Park, Upper Oldfield Park and subsidiary roads. It is the signatories belief that the reduction in the speed limit will significantly improve road safety along this route, and improve the environment for the community. These roads are highlighted by Hayesfield school as being vital for safer school travel reducing reliance on cars, and ensuring that students travelling between the two school sites can do so with massively reduced risk.
I am currently drafting a formal letter to the local highways department to request a detailed traffic review for Brougham Hayes and the surrounding roads. We have secured a preliminary meeting with representatives from the school to coordinate our safety evidence before the council review begins.

The project has reached a critical level of visibility that necessitates a formal briefing with the local transport committee. I am currently organizing the data to present at our upcoming meeting regarding the speed limit adjustments.

Cars fly down these roads way too fast. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Needs to happen now.

Agree totally. I see people speeding down Brougham Hayes every single day. Dangerous for the kids.
