The West Mifflin North High School mascot THE VIKING has been left unattended and uncared for in the woods behind the site of the bonfires at the high school. A piece of all those that attended West Mifflin North, remain with the Viking. We find it disrespectful of the love and honor we invested in what the Viking respresented and will always continue to represent. We, the all-inclusive classes of WMN, wish to remove the Viking from the woods on the grounds of West Mifflin High School where it has been laying since the merger of WMN and WMS. When we were students, we learned the value of school spirit. We now ask that we be permitted to continue that same school spirit by removing the VIKING, restoring it and placing it in a place to be decided by the majority, once the restoration is complete.
