Brentwood Estates is currently required to maintain a thirty-five (35) foot undisturbed buffer along the common property lines with the Longlake Subdivision. They have requested the ELIMINATION of the buffer along the common property lines.
If their request is approved, Brentwood Estates homeowners will be able to clear and grade the area that is currently used to physically and visually separate our lands and mitigate adverse impacts from noise, odor, dust, fumes, glare, or unsightly storage or merchandise and/or materials.
The Board of Commissioners will consider the request on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 5:00 pm in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room.

The feedback I have gathered from neighbors highlights how much we value the privacy and quiet our current buffer provides. I am currently preparing to present this collective perspective to the commissioners to ensure they understand the impact of removing this protection.

Seeing this response from our neighbors confirms just how much we all value the quiet character of our community. The collective resolve demonstrated here sends a clear message that this buffer is vital to our daily lives.

Keep the buffer zone. We bought our homes in Longlake specifically because of that buffer. Totally unfair to change the rules now.
Ridiculous! We dont want to look at construction and noise right in our backyards. DENY THIS.

No way, leave our privacy alone. Why is this even being considered?
