While Mazda Connect confirms that Live Traffic was originally designed into the current Navteq navigation system in its 2016 vehicles, it also confirms that it was disabled for a reason they choose not to explain. This lack of capability forces current Mazda owners to rely on smartphones for live traffic information. This is not only a major inconvenience, but also a dangerous distraction. Considering the price of the system, this should have been included. The navigation systems in older models of Mazda's vehicles provided not only live traffic, but also audible delay and detour warnings. Owners who rely on this service on a daily basis are now left with a system that is basically useless. Mazda Connect's explanation that they are "working on it" and it "might" be available in the future is not acceptable. As 2016 Mazda owners we demand that this service be reinstalled NOW!

What's the point in having a navigation system that doesn't consider real-time obstacles? If I had known this before purchasing I would have pursued other vehicles for purchase. This should be a deal-breaker. What's next? An entertainment system that doesn't connect to anything live?
I too got the "Working on it " response from my call (on 25 Jun 2016) to Mazda Connect. I can't Believe the Mazda management is aware of this and are not tasking the technical staff to implement a fix for this.
I cannot believe that this feature is missing when the dealer that took me on test drive actually told me it was included in the car I ended up buying. This is ridiculous, bordering on reprehensible. Mazda should be held responsible for this failure!
As it was advertised, please bring live traffic ASAP. Or refund us towards Garmin gps with live traffic. It is inconceivable that Mazda can't stand next to Honda, Ford and other by providing features that are basic in today's market.
I traded a 2013 CX-5 GT that advised me of traffic and adjusted my arrival time and offered alternates. I miss this a great deal in Atlanta Traffic and feel it is a major shortfall for the GPS. It also appears to be included in Mazda advertising...
Navigation is useless in cities without live traffic option!
Disappointed that live traffic reports are not available on my Mazda 6. They should be available on all cars.

2016 Mazda 6. I bought the nav so I could refrain from using my phone and be less distracted. Not having this feature has made me take my eyes off the road and focus on my phone. It would be great if it can be reenabled and function with a live traffic fead.
