As a long time Mazda customer, I am saddened to discover that Mazda USA does not offer a Mazda 6 Grand Touring with a manual transmission. It has recently come to my attention that such a vehicle is offered for the Canadian market by Mazda Canada, and is prominently featured on the Mazda Canada website.
After doing some research, I discovered that calendar year 2014 sales of Mazda USA, counting all models, was 4 times higher than those of Mazda Canada. More importantly, calendar year 2014 Mazda 6 sales for Mazda USA were more than 17 times higher than those of Mazda Canada. That said, I believe there is a solid business model for bringing such a vehicle to the US market. Such a vehicle, based on perceived interest here in the US, could even potentially outsell Mazda Canada's total sales for the entire Mazda 6 lineup.
For a car company that puts so much emphasis on its "Zoom Zoom" and "born from a sports car heritage", it seems to be a glaring oversight to NOT offer such a vehicle in the United States. Adding such a vehicle to the North American lineup would further solidify Mazda's position as the car company that "car people" prefer to drive..
You would have sold one more Mazda this year to me if I could get a Grand Touring with a Manual Transmission. If you offer the Mazda 6 with the turbocharged 250 HP engine you just put in the CX9 (or better yet the rumored 300HP + 4WD) I will give you a deposit on one tomorrow.

My wife and I ( both age 62) still both drive & prefer to drive manual transmisson cars. We just came from looking at Mazda 6 last weekend. Wanted the manual with upgraded interior ( sand color) in the Touring Model. Was informed that the added 'sand' color interior or upgrade to it which addes sand trin to dash & console is not avalible in Touring . We refussed to upgrade to Grand Tourung, because no manual was avalible. Why cant these manufactures allow trims and options wanted on any level of their car line as in past? Yes please submit me to list on getting the 'stick' option on the Grand Tourning model 6.

Mazda - you have a great skyactive manual transmission and a wonderful platform in the 6. Don't arbitrarily exclude manual tranmission enthusiets from at least beign able to order the car with upper level trim (Grand Trouing) much less moonroof/Bose (Touring). This does not seem in keepign with your product line character

At least make it a SPECIAL ORDER. I ALSO WANT THE NEXT GEN TO COME WITH A MANUAL TOO! Come on, Mazda I thought "Driving Matters". Save the Manuals. You're like the only manufacturer I trust that does not build CVT trans. Make us believe how awesome of a car a Mazda 6 is. I own a first gen one and have been loving it for like forever. Please make this special. Thanks and I hope you hear us out!!!

I bought a used 2016 Mazda 6 manual because I didnt want to pay full price for a car missing all the features I really wanted just to get a stickshift. I would have gladly paid full price for a brand new M6 GT with a stick .. too bad mazda
