The city has officially denied the rezoning application for the property on Five Forks Trickum Road. This outcome reflects the persistent commitment of our neighborhood to preserve the character of our community. Please remain attentive to local zoning discussions as we move forward.

As a resident of the local area, I am signing this petition stating that I am OPPOSED to the rezoning case number SUP 2014-00040 that would permit 5375 Five Forks Trickum Rd to be turned into a USED car lot. As an elected official we expect for you to vote in accordance with the majority of the voter's wishes.

I strongly oppose the opening of a used car lot at the 5375 Five Forks Trickum Rd location near Rockbridge Road - we need businesses that enhance the local community. A used car lot lowers property values around it and lowers that standard of business in the area.

While used car lots, or even new car lots, are an admirable and needed business-- an asset to the community, it simply does not fit amoung the small businesses that give Mountain Park a charming neighborhood feel. Please consider a different location. Thank you.

A used car lot does not fit the current business district demographic and would only bring it down. A car dealership was proposed at the Brusters Ice cream lot prior to Brusters moving in and it was rejected because no one wanted it. We still dont want it!

i have lived around here for about 14 yrs, its a nice rediencia area surrounded by some commercial properties but family oriented. i definitely do not want these to change so I pledge totally against the rezoning, speciaaly to put a lot to reselling cars.

There are much better uses for this valuable land than another used car lot. There is plenty of space already allocated for car sales availabe on Hwy 78 at the old Stone Mountain Toyota Dealership - just 5 minutes away with far more traffic passing the site daily.

The intersection of Five Forks & Rockbridge has much potential for dining & retail within walking distance of several communities, and it continues to take baby steps toward this goal. A used car lot would not contribute to this, more livable feel of the area.

Our representatives need to scrutinize the market analysis for this business. Will this car dealer have a responsibility to the city when it fails and is forced to vacate? What is the city ordinance for businesses that close and do not sell to new owners? What happens when the property degrades into a slumish eye sore that catches graffiti and becomes a visual statement of neglect?

The market analysis needs to be carefully reviewed. There are far to many businesses that are established in wrong locations and then when the business fails, the property is left to degrade and hence, create a problem for the city.
