The council confirmed today that the floodlights are finally happening. I spent a long time wondering if they would ever listen to us but they finally gave in. It feels surreal to know we will actually be able to skate safely once the sun goes down.

Seeing this much backing for the park has kept me going through some long and frustrating weeks. It is tiring to constantly push for basic safety, but knowing I am not the only one who sees this need makes the fight feel worth it.

I think it's a brilliant idea . Helps the police on under age drinking down the park .
It's a great idea and would make it much safer for kids to ride scooter, bikes, skateboars ect. In mild winters
brilliant place to able to walk around the young and old on a mild winters night it would be lovely with some lighting .
We should encourage healthy outdoor activity at all times, why do these kids have to petition for light?
I think this is a really good idea and would significantly lower the chances of getting hurt during late days.
This needs to happen there’s some in the football why not the skatepark
