Liberty's wine store will be a welcome addition to Whole Foods Market, due to the vast amount of staff knowledge and premium service that Liberty brings, along with their focus on niche natural products. Both Liberty and Whole Foods Market are committed to providing high quality, specialized items that cannot be found at traditional retailers. The convenience and decreased travel time that will occur by placing the Liberty Wine store inside of the Whole Foods is both important to the customer and the environment. By not allowing Liberty to be in Whole Foods, the public will be deprived of a choice of wines that are the most environmentally, culturally and socially responsible in the wine world.
For these reasons, we respectfully request that the Board of Variance approve this application for Liberty to operate a store within Whole Foods Market at 8th and Cambie.

Seeing one hundred people put their name behind this store is overwhelming. Knowing that so many of you value the same level of care and expertise I do at our local wine shop makes me feel much less alone in this.

Having a dynamic selection of wines at whole foods from Liberty wine merchants on site would be awesome, and would be in keeping with Vancouver becoming a world class city. As the President of the Australian Wine Appreciation Society, I request that you please approve this application. Regards, Randy Saunders
Being able to pick up a bottle of wine WITH groceries would mean one less stop for busy consumers, not to mention a small contribution to reducing climate change (easy one-stop shop=less driving)! It would be very timely.
It seems to me a natural footer to have Liberty Wines at Whole Foods with their emphasis on specialty, natural and organic wines! How civilized to be able to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner at the grocery store like most other civilized parts of the world already have in place!
Liberty is known for their varied and unique selections and knowledgeable staff; it would be a great fit for Whole Foods.
The wine store would make a great addition to the service of goods here. The liquor store close by is jam packed, parking access is challenging.
We should have more selection in our grocery store. Not just this one

In full support of this initiative in general ~ especially as it will also support local producers and suppliers of our growing BC wine culture, which aligns with Whole Foods’ stated mission.
