The Organization for the Promotion and Development of Liberians (OPODL) call on all Liberians in the Diaspora, including the United States, Europe and Africa to sign this petition in support of Dual Citizenship in Liberia. OPODL believes that now is the time to prevail on our lawmakers to pass dual citizenship for diaspora Liberians into law. The 2013 Independence Day Orator, Counselor Varney Sherman, reinforced the Once-a-Liberian-Always-a-Liberian policy, indicating that "every Liberian citizen, wherever he/she may be or whatever their circumstances might be, can feel a part of an be a stakeholder of Liberia".
