Lets save Ellis Park!
Stand up Keetmanshoop let's stop this.
Of all the open spaces in this town you want to build
houses in this park?
This park has a legacy, some of the biggest names in
Namibian football started their trade here! Let's rather fence off the park and renovate it. Our kids are turning to drugs and alcohol because of lack of leisure activities in this town.
I have been hearing from so many of you who remember playing on these fields when you were kids. It is heartbreaking to think that future generations in Keetmanshoop will lose this space to construction instead of having a safe place to play. I am currently reaching out to local planning offices to ensure they cannot ignore our history here.

Most of my Favourite players and competors of the beautiful game of southern football came from Ellis Parks playing ground. No houses there.

A playground/park is a must have in every neighbourhood of a town. It is part of ECD and it just breaks my heart that a Municipality of all institutions would allow for something as major and necessary element of a town to be minimised or removed.

I say NO to the rezoning of Ellis Park from a recreational park(playground) to residential erven!!! I used to play in that park and I surely want to see my grandchildren play there as well!!!

We need to keep our kids busy and away from alcohol and drugs and if we destroy parks where will they go... That park holds good memories for us who played soccer under the leadership of late Elvis Afrikaner..

I dont agree with building of houses on the play ground because its a place for leisure. This place has more history and people are having problems if we play in the streets where vars should be moving this is the only place where we can enjoy soccer without being desturb or bother by elders
