The petition will be sent to Peter Gonze Chair for Paradise Township for a response.

Those of us traveling Route 191 (Paradise Valley Rd), and the many residents of the Timber Hill Community within Paradise and Price Townships, are requesting consideration and prompt action from PennDOT to minimize the risk of vehicular accidents and injuries at this potentially dangerous intersection.

Let’s be proactive.
The following are proposed solutions:
1) Install a series of signs ahead of the intersection, not just the type that is currently in place, with the closest sign a blinking sign that will alert drivers to the intersection.

2) Lower the speed limit in both directions beginning 1/4 mile out to 35 mph.

3) Install a “ Reduce speed dangerous intersection” sign.

4) Install rumble strips.

5) Move the current signs farther back from the bridge so that drivers are warned before they get to the bridge.

Any or all of these proposals are ways to improve the current situation. The current single sign is inadequate and too close in distance to the intersection to provide drivers with adequate warning to the intersection.

We, the undersigned call on PennDOT to take action to insure the safety of all drivers traveling through the area.

The level of engagement regarding the safety of the Browns Hill Road intersection shows that the community shares a clear vision for necessary improvements. This momentum confirms that our concerns regarding visibility and traffic speed are widely held and demand formal attention.

The increase in traffic and backroads speedsters make it very dangerous at this intersection which is partially blocked by the bridge structure to view the left side clearly. A traffic light is essential at this intersection.

We appreciate what has been done already, but warnings (speed limit signs etc.) Should be posted before curve going down hill, current ones too close to intersection. ALSO going north over bridge speed limit should be lowered before rt 715. Drivers should be clocked for speed more often.

It’s very very dangerous at that turn on Browns Hill Road and also the turn on to the 191. When you are slowing down to make the right on to Browns Hill Road the person who is driving if the car in the back of you are always close to hitting you. This can also elevate to a hit and run. We definitely need some help at that intersection Thank you!

This is a dangerous intersection. The speeding of motorists continues even with the speed radar machines in both sides of the bridge. There are always pieces of vehicles and glass along the bridge as well. More needs to be done to slow traffic

I think rumble strips or a speed bump with signs notifying you of them ahead would probably be the cheapest option. A light would be best!

Should add a right turning lane heading west bound on 191 into Browns hill road.
