Although an increase in fees service delivery levels have not improved and the association is now the most expensive in the country. Areas such as Melbourne & Sydney are hovering around the $400-$500 mark, cheaper with far better facilities, service and a more streamlined product.
The cost of fees, equipment and travel to and from venues makes the sport extremely costly and will act as a deterrent for future uptake of the sport as well as existing players opting to continue playing.
Players, parents and other stakeholders want to know why the sport is so expensive and what the BHA is going to do to make the sport a viable option in the future.

Just got these details from my former Sydney Hockey Club re fees (Macquarie Uni) - Standard fee is $480 + $117 to Hockey NSW (total $597) This doesn't include discounts - early payment, life member, student etc.
So how does the same product cost nearly twice as much in Brisbane. These are the answers players want and deserve.
Associations incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 are required to be audited has anyone asked the BHA to view the audited financials.
Agree with this petition in that feea are getting higher and higher with not a great lot of value in return. Also agree with Duncan that ideas are needed to help BHA improve. Interested to see where all the $$ does go

Help put ideas forward also that might help BHA reduce fees. I.e/ Updating Website and getting some sponsors onboard, the current homepage has no sponsors at all???
