Hello Neighbors! After today’s board meeting we need 143 properties/homeowners to SIGN!
Like many of us living in this neighborhood who have jobs and depend on them to sustain their livelihood, myself as well as other homeowners I’ve known are facing a real issue with the current CC’Rs. These rules explicitly state that trailers cannot be parked in our driveways. This restriction imposes stress and unnecessary financial burdens on residents like me who depend on these trailers for our livelihoods.
For some of us who operate these work vehicles or have a trailer it is not a luxury, but a necessity. It is a common practice to use trailers for storing indispensable professional equipment, which is particularly true in my case as a caterer. The current rule forces homeowners with trailers to seek costly alternatives for storage or face penalties.
The prohibition of trailers can also have a significant negative impact on small businesses. Many of these businesses, like mine, depend heavily on trailers for daily operations and deliveries. I believe our HOA should reflect the needs of its community members and support their entrepreneurial efforts rather than hinder them.
We ask our fellow community members and all advocates of small businesses to support our cause. It's time for our HOA to re-evaluate and amend outdated rules that restrict the parking of work-related trailers. We advocate for a compromise, such as introducing defined sizes or types of permissible trailers that don't disrupt neighborhood aesthetics but still allow small business owners to operate effectively. Support us in this fight for change. Please sign this petition.
I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum we are seeing in our neighborhood right now. Seeing so many of you jump on board to support our small businesses has been incredible and it is truly your passion carrying this forward.

Ridiculous that I have to pay to store a trailer somewhere else when I have a perfectly good driveway. Let us park our work stuff at home.

We would absolutely support this, as long as all resident vehicles and trailers (for work, personal, or recreation) are being maintained in good repair, parked in garage or driveway - not on the street and not encroaching on public sidewalks (including hitches). When we moved into the neighborhood, we sold our deisel truck so as not to be an eyesore, exhaust, or noise nuisance to our neighbors. Convenient and economical to rent trailer or truck in town for the rare occasions we need them now!

Finally someone is doing something about this. Rules should be updated to match how people actually live today.
