Legally, HOAs have the authority to control the type of vehicles allowed to park within the communities they administer. However, restricting certain kinds of commercial vehicles becomes problematic, especially if the vehicle is a resident's primary transportation.
The common retort is that the individual should have read the CC&Rs before buying a home in an HOA-administered community.
What happens if a company decides to brand its vehicles after an individual becomes a property owner in an HOA? Sometimes, company drivers have a legal recourse. Most CC&Rs allow their provisions to be amended if a certain percentage (in Circle Cross Ranch Case 67% that's 1836 HOMEOWNER Signatures) of the property owners agree to the change.
NOW let's be CLEAR all we are asking is that our neighbor be allowed to park their business/work vehicle on their property. WE ARE NOT asking for the semi trucks to park infront of your house.
We are simply saying why not allow my neighbor whom has a van wrapped, or my neighbor who has AVON on the back of their back window. We need to support the small based business neighbors that pay their bills because of their business. Having a vehicle with their company information should not be an issue, or receive fines, or making their already hard struggle worst. Can't they come home park in THEIR driveway IN PEACE?
Homeowners please sign this petition to change our HOA CCR's. We need to support this in anyway we can and right now we need 1836 (67%) signatures.

I have been hearing from frustrated neighbors who are tired of getting fined for simply parking their work vehicles at home. We need to keep this pressure on the board members until they agree to amend these outdated rules. Call your HOA representative today and demand that they place this issue on the next meeting agenda.

I just don't understand why, if this company vehicle is my only source of income, and my truck is SPOTLESSLY cleaned once (sometimes twice) a week, it's considered an "eyesore". Yet, weeds and trash are rampant in the common areas and park that our monthly dues allegedly pay to keep up.
I agree that the very means by which our HOA fees (along with all of our other living expenses) are earned by utilizing the vehicles deemed unallowable is incomprehensible . This rule needs to go.
I support my neighbors and small business, let them park their vehicles. Their not asking to park in the street, these are people who need to park their primary vehical in THEIR driveway, they should be allowed to do so.
We live in a blue collar community and should be allowed to have the work vehicles parked over night. They aren't hurting anybody and anything.
I support this petition. I am not sure if our address needs to be present on this petition when signing. Iwould recommend addresses be listed to prevent any HOA member stating that not all signatures are of CCR homeowners.
I agree on this removing this rule!!! Honest people=Honest living!!!

I agree to this if the stipulation is put into writing that allowing vehicles with commercial writing to be parked on the owners property should be confined to passenger type vehicles or trucks and should not include oversized trucks, trailers, etc.
