Hello St.Mary's students. My name is Kate Flanagan and I am in 8th grade. I have recently asked our 8th grade lead teachers about wearing crocs to school, and I was told that I was not allowed to because they were "ugly and uncomfortable". Recently, Balenciaga models wore platform crocs at Paris Fashion Week. If they are allowed to wear crocs to the biggest fashion event in the world, we should be allowed to wear them to school. We would be allowed to wear them on any day besides chapel day, and we would still have to change our shoes for PE. Help me make a change!

I am honestly stunned to see so many of you backing this idea. It feels like we are on the verge of hitting a hundred signatures and showing the school that we mean business. Please show this to a few more classmates so we can really prove how many of us want this change.

Crocs are amazing, not ugly, fashion forward safe shoe. Worn by many medical professionals, crocs provide a safe non slip, close toed shoe which everyone should be able to wear freely.
Because they're "ugly"? Isn't that just one person's subjective opinion? Perhaps there's a lesson to be learned here about judging people by their appearance. Because they're uncomfortable? Nobody's forcing you to wear them, Teacher. Students are just looking for another shoe option for their. own. two. feet.
Well if SMES kids are allowed to wear crocs, I think st Mary’s kids can too. Plus, according to my mother, you should wear clothes based on comfortability not looks. And crocs are pretty dang comfortable.
I personally love crocs! As an arts student who sees interesting fashion all around her school, I believe that the students of St. Mary's, who rarely get to express themselves through their fashion sense should have this opportunity to express themselves through their shoes, at least.

I support your croc movement. Though my personal opinion is that they are U-G-L-Y, I believe in freedom of self-expression. Even for your feet.
