Lucia Minniti wants to talk about the late Chris Tully briefly at our graduation ceremony and administration here at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology doesn't want that to happen, so much so that they said that if she does begin to speak about him that she will be escorted off of the stage. This is not to mourn, this is to celebrate a man who had an impact and made a change in all of our lives. This is to celebrate a man who we looked up to as an educator, a professional, and a friend. As of now Lucia has been pulled from her position as a speaker because administration feared her being insubordinate.

When will administrators realize that real life, although painful and messy at times, is the greatest teacher for our young people. Don't they realize an open heart felt aknowledgement of their teacher is a way for his students to heal.
I have no idea why on earth MBIT would have the audacity to tell someone they can't mention Mr. Tully in their graduation speech. He was an incredible teacher who inspired his students, and was greatly respected by all. His name doesn't deserve to be censored like this.
i knew Chris as part of the Occupational Advisory Committee starting his MBIT program. I understand their issue since it was suicide, but this can also wok to encourage those with depression to seek help. And he was loved by his students.
Chris Tully had a positive impact on my life and a profound impact on my brother's. Censoring the speech of students is inexcusable, as is suppressing the memory of a man who believed in what he did wholeheartedly and deserves to be celebrated.
i spoke at my MBIT graduation, and its such an honor to have and to pull that away from this girl all cause she wanted to celebrate an amazing man is horrible! isn't that what graduation is about... CELEBRATING! that is so ridiculous. LET LUCIA SPEAK!
