My son was so excited to begin kindergarten. But I was shocked to learn that he would only have 20 minutes of recess for the entire school day. The research is clear that children are learning when they play. Students are more socially, physically, and academically successful when allowed more recess. Let's help our children get what we know is best for them.
Increase recess time to allow for an additional 30 minute recess during the instructional day.We know kids need to play, let's make it happen!
