Kids have better attention in the classroom when they are able to burn off extra energy. I support this 100%

Less focus on testing, more focus on learning how to balance work and a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity such as recess! Their attention span will improve!

The 1st letter my grandson wrote at school said "Dear Grammy, I love kindergarten because we have 2 recesses." That lasted about a week.

I'm a parent and I know that mental energy comes with physical activity. I see it everyday, when my boys come in the house bursting with ideas and thoughts and plans after an afternoon of playing outside. Why wouldn't we make it possible to maximize the benefits of exercise and play during the school day?

Please change the structure of the school day for the good of the entire system. As an educator I have seen how our children are in desperate need of more time to play.

Yes I do believe that they need more of this in order to relax their mind and not be so stressed out on all these tests that they give for no reason.

Recess isn't just "killing time." Kids learn many valuable life lessons on the playground, like negotiating, sharing, supporting each other, etc. In addition, we should be encouraging our children to be physically active.

it would be nice if recess could not be taken away as punishment also.
