We are respectfully requesting the City of Atlanta to authorize a left hand turn signal dedicated to the South lanes of Piedmont Avenue accessing East Morningside Drive. The neighbors represented by the below signatures believe strongly that a turn signal at this location would significantly alleviate traffic and improve safety. Please help us push the appropriate parties within the City to start the process to have the signal installed.

I have submitted a formal request for a traffic study to the Atlanta Department of Transportation. We are waiting for a response regarding their current queue for intersection infrastructure improvements.

I pass through this intersection at least 10-20 times per week and feel like I'm taking my life in my hands every time. For the life of me, I don't understand why there isn't a turn light here, for safety if not for traffic flow.
The addition of the new traffic signal on Piedmont at the Sprouts store has increased the congestion on Piedmont in both directions. The addition of a left turn signal on Piedmont South at East Morningside will help to alleviate some of this congestion and make it safer for traffic making the left hand turn at this location.
This will be a safety measure for all who travel on Piedmont South and will facilitate traffic flow at an odd intersection.
I live on Cumberland and have often been stuck on Piedmont trying to turn left on E. Morningside. Please consider adding a left turn signal there. Lots of backup on Piedmont.
No doubt about the positive impact this left hand turn signal would have on improving the growing congestion in the southbound lanes of Piedmont Rd.
This will alleviate congestion during peak hours in addition to providing an easier access to this road from Piedmont
Definitely needed. Current lack thereof causes major back-ups every day.

This area is becoming increasingly congested. I have lived here for almost 20 years and as the area adds more development we need to make sure that our intersections can safely accommodate the traffic. Please consider this petition as a simple way to help with congestion in our area.
