We, the undersigned, request that Buena Vista Burial Park at 125 McDavitt Blvd. in Brownsville, Texas 78520 leave our beloveds’ tombstones alone and not strip them of their decorations such as solar lights, stickers, ribbons etc.
It has come to our attention that Buena Vista Burial Park is now stripping our loved ones’ gravestones of every decoration except the flowers in the vases.
We were once informed not to place any decorations on the grass/grave, to which we complied.
Now they are not allowing anything on the gravestones, either except the flowers in the vases.
What next?
We expect to see a change in policy.
Further disregard and disrespect on behalf of Buena Vista Burial Park shall warrant contacting the local media.

Very disappointed in the recent actions of Buena Vista. My mother had decorated my grandmother's grave for Valentines and even placed some new, solar lights only to come and see it all stripped down a few days later! After she went to inquire what had happened, they told her that the workers were told from higher ups to trash everything but flowers in vases at all grave sites. This is suppose to insure safety to the workers. Since my mother visits my grandma's grave frequently, she always follows up with the latest rule on what she is allowed to have on the grave and knowing this, has gone beyond securing everything and making sure it is in place that will not disturb landscaping. She was not given any notice on this new and absurd rule much less aware that everything would be disposed of! This shows so much disrespect to every person and client who trusts in Buena Vista to care for their loved one's grave .

I don't see what the harm is! You not allowing us to show the bit we can even at the grave site is sad. That's the least we can do!
