The undersigned ask the Minsiter for Planning, that should you be minded to approve the application to extend the Urban Growth Boundary at 52 Richardsons Road Sandford, you undertake consultation with the affected community prior to making a decision.
The feedback from local residents continues to confirm that transparency is a primary concern regarding the proposed expansion at Richardsons Road. I am currently preparing a formal correspondence for the Minister to emphasize the necessity of public consultation before any final decisions are rendered.

The level of community engagement regarding the proposed boundary extension has exceeded my initial expectations. This collective momentum confirms that residents desire a substantive role in the planning decisions that affect our local environment.

How is it that a number of elected members ignored the recommendations of their planners as well as the community?!! The ploy of some alderman claiming that the UGBneeds to extending to resolve the housing crisis is a farse. I have yet to see anything substantial in a development proposal that allocates lots for social/ public housing, which is what will really help to resolve the housing cirisis.

Total whitewash ... no local consideration or consultation.... who are these people on the council who block and delay “Mum and dad “ projects then allow a massive impactful development through without ANY community consultation

Please engage or consult with the community before resigning this parcel of land. Infrastructure such as roads, traffic, the local primary school and sewerage are significantly stressed and need consideration. Please also consider the jarring nature of throwing a massive number of small suburban sized blocks agains rural resource blocks of existing residents!

There is no good reason to change the Urban Growth Boundary in Lauderdale. Clarence City Council Aldermen seemed to be motivated by a development proposal for a subdivision that the community was completely unaware of. They referenced the ‘housing crisis’ as if somehow the development was going to help people living in cars! What nonsense.

This development would make merging onto south arm highway in morning peak hour impossible.
It would also see Lauderdale primary school attendees increase beyond the schools capability.
Before this development is approved, new infrastructure and schools need to be built.

Dear Minister it is critical that you read the Clarence City Council own planners report relating the 52 Richardson’s Road. His report was at odds with the decision taken by the CCC. I ask you to consult with the local community about any change to the UGB and the impact on this community. Thank you.
