We the undersigned, are hereby requesting the Jamaican Government and all other relevant authorities, to donate land to Mr. Garfield M. Bell , this land will be used to build a Computer Learning School in the Community of Olympic Garden, Kingston 11, Jamaica W.I.
As we are all aware, Olympic Gardens is one of the most troubled communities in Kingston. Gang related violence and political warfare have brought this community to a state of despair and we the undersigned feel that the donation of this land would be a valuable asset in rebuilding the community and restoring hope to the residents of Olympic Gardens. The problems of the community from the 1970\'s to now are apparent and without appropriate leadership and community involvement destined to continue to escalate into future ruin and dispair. We can all acknowledge that this action and mission would benefit the government and the citizens of Jamaica in our quest to irridicate the current community problems.
In view of the governments position on combating crime and violence on our beautiful island, we the undersigned hereby are asking the government and all relevant authorities to provide this donation so that we can work together towards the rebuilding of Olympic Garden and the economic stability of the residents within by restoring a functionable use to the community and a sense of hope to the residents within.
Upon request we are willing to prepare a plan of execution for your review. We respectfully submit the undersigned petition for consideration and pray that our petition is granted by the Jamaican Government and all relative authorities and that we can begin to work towards a brighter future for the residents of Olympic Garden and that this project can work as a role model to demonstrate the potential of restoring hope and reducing violence in Jamaica and the power of unity between the government and the people in making sustainable change for our future.
Respectfully submitted,
The urgency of establishing a computer learning center in Olympic Gardens remains the primary focus of my current efforts. I am presently coordinating with local stakeholders to ensure our proposal is prepared for formal review by the relevant authorities.
March 12, 2008
The growing momentum for the proposed computer learning school confirms that our community is eager for constructive change. This level of support provides a strong mandate as we prepare to advocate for the land donation in Olympic Gardens.

Olympic Gardens deserves better than this. Education is exactly what the youth need to get out of the streets.
