We are quite excited about our new phase at Livingwater Resort & Spa. As you may know we will be opening the ONLY waterfront restaurant, Lakeside Seafood & Grill, in Collingwood. Not only will this be an experience for guests and local residents to enjoy, but the new restaurant will also create employment opportunities in the community as well.
As part of the process we have applied for the new liquor licence which is seeing some opposition despite that we have held a liquor license for Agua Lounge & Tapas Bar which has been in business for 3 years with out any problems. The licence in question is a very important part of the operation and well being, of both the short and long term sustainability of the restaurant itself.
As the restaurant would not be able to function without this licence, we would like to ask for your assistance by signing the attached petition supporting this long awaited restaurant that the so many residents have asked for. Please also forward this petition on to your family and friends.

I am requesting that you direct this link to anyone in the Collingwood area who has not yet weighed in on the restaurant project. Consolidating our support at this specific volume is essential for the legal strategy we are finalizing this week.

I feel that this Lakeside Seafood & Grill should be granted a liquor licence in order to make it a great success. There is a lot of competition in the food industry and without the liquor permits customers will go elsewhere for dinner and business lunches.
Its good for Business and good for Tourism. Not to mention its also Safer because people can be served Alcoholic Beverages right on the resort property which takes away the chance of people Drinking and Driving. Its a win win for everyone.
We have been members of the Cranberry resort for 6 years and have enjoyed many fine meals in the restaurant. In that time we have never observed unruly behaviour or anything else that would raise concerns with the liquor license.
This is a restaurant and if I am going to go there to eat, I definitely want a drink or wine with my meal. This is not a night club, so I can not understand what the opposition is about. Perhaps nearby competitors are concerned about the competition.....tough!
Please fast track this application, Collingwood needs to provide more jobs, more variety and support the largest employer in the community, corporately Cranberry Resort has given significant support to the community, it is time we reciprocate.
I have a vast collection of limited edition prints. I would like to discuss an agreement to lend to you.
why there is even resistance to this is beyond me...in a resort community...liquor licenses are an either make or break the success of the establishment...all for your obtaining...

Collingwood needs a waterfront restaurant for the public to enjoy as private homes are saturating the waterfront - this is a step in the right direction in developing our waterfront for public use and leisure. I fully support this!
