The stories coming in from you all about school dress code humiliation show a pattern that the administration can no longer ignore. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the school board to demand a meeting on these policies. literally just let us wear shorts. its not that hard.
Its ridiculous that I got dress coded for a tank top while it was 90 degrees out. This school is stuck in the past.
the rules are definitely sexist. my sister gets in trouble for the same stuff i wear every day and nobody says a word to me.
We should be able to wear what we like and not be blamed for the immaturity of others and plain lack of control.
Yes, especially towards the females. I believe there should be a dress code however, not to the extreme where as a female who comes into school in shorts shall be sent home or escorted to change her clothing on a humid hot day. A student should be sent home for their appearances only if certain parts of the body were explicitly shown. Students should not have to be disciplined into what they should wear, especially with schools who do not own air conditioners or fans during hot humid days or heaters during cold days. All students should have to worry about is the education and getting the grades they need, not what they are assigned to wear. This is why I disagree with the idea of dress codes in schools and demand for changes.

im sick of being told my shoulders are distracting. maybe if they focused on teaching instead of our bodies we would actually learn something
