In today's society many girls are revolting against school's sexist dress codes. Young women are taught growing up that they must hide their body's since apparently it is a distraction to wear low cut shirts or shorts. But in reality shouldn't it be taught the other way around? Girls should not be over-sexualized and grow up being taught that they're a distraction, while boys should be taught to treat each and every girl with respect and not as a piece of (distracting) meat because they're showing the least bit of skin. Everyone who is oppressed by the sexist dress codes should work together to end the problem!

For ages it has been drilled into young girls heads that if they dress too revealing it is a distraction. This is still a growing issue of gender equality that needs to be resolved! Because either way, in the end, is it easier to teach people not to rape as opposed to making some individuals to hide in their skin to avoid being a victim. Clothes do not equal consent, words are consent. Spread the awareness to end it!

The school administration keeps ignoring our emails while they continue to police what students wear instead of teaching basic respect. I am sick of these outdated rules and we are going to keep pressuring them until they stop treating our bodies like a distraction.
