The susd dress code makes girls feel sexualized and objectified. It's not fair that it is reaching 90°F and girls are forced to wear jeans or have to hold their ID up there and seem to prove that they're in dress code. and getting dress code it is embarrassing and takes time out of education. I don't think that my bra strap belly button legs or thighs are distracting. this dress coated is telling girls to cover up so they don't distract boys. we should be teaching girls not to feel inferior to men.
all girls in the district should be able to wear what they please. it's unusual that bra straps are considered sexual. The schools should leave being told what to wear up to the parents of students. as long as breasts and butts are not showing there should be no problem.
The reason for this protest is to show that girls should be allowed to wear what they please without being looked or called a distraction. we should be teaching boys to respect girls and not be staring at them.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum behind this because it was never my intention to lead anything this large. This movement is growing because of your willingness to speak up for what is right. It is your passion that keeps this moving forward.

I don’t care if girls where their bras or boys only where their underwear I Menander it’s a free country for a reason
i agree with this and all girls out there understand what we have to go through.
Every boy knows that girls wear bras, hey can't girls have part of their bra straps show.
The dress code is targeted specifically for girls even though they do have "rules" for boys too they definetly don't enforce them.
I have a direct quote from Mr.Assmussen "Girls out of dresscode are a distraction to male staff and students" This is sexist and it needs to stop!
