Implementation of Wi-Fi connectivity for the community of Kgabalatsane.
Every Kgabalatsane community member has a right to access good quality, affordable Internet, and that access should not be determined by the socio-economic conditions of the individual, but be based on the principles of social solidarity, equity and fairness.
I have been thinking a lot about the digital divide here lately because even a simple task like looking up a bus schedule becomes an ordeal without decent connection. Sometimes I sit at my desk (which is just a wooden table really) and imagine how much more we could actually get done if the signal just stopped dropping out constantly. There is a lot of work being done on my end to track down the right people for a conversation about the grid so do not think for a second that I have forgotten about this.

I wish this becomes a success. We need it. Our kids need it and it will boost access to information and make it easier for school kids to do their assignments.

Many of us, like myself, will either come close or even run out of data before the end of the month. I believe that installing WiFi internet connectivity in our community will increase morality in the community users, cut down on any costs that users might have to face with the phone company, and will be well worth it in the long run. To help us acquire signatures, I ask that you share this with fellow community members!
