I have been meeting with local farmers who are worried about losing their land to developers every single week. Their stories about the history of our soil drive me to keep pushing the Board of Commissioners to act. We are currently working on a formal presentation to ensure these officials understand the long term reality of our county.

Seeing this level of support for the Purchase of Development Rights program reminds me why I started this fight to protect our local farmland. My family has farmed this land for generations and watching these fields vanish into concrete hurts more than I can say. We need to reach one hundred signatures before I present this to the commissioners so please send this link to your neighbors right now.

our area is changing way to fast. please help the farmers stay on their land.
kent county needs to prioritize this. we are loosing so much farmland to suburban sprawl and its sad to see.
Once the dirt is gone its gone forever. Fund the program now before there is nothing left to save.
