The Board of Commissioners officially voted to fund the program and keep our local farms protected. Seeing 309 of you back this effort kept me going when the process felt endless. We have the funding now but I will keep a close eye on the implementation to ensure these protections …
I have been meeting with local farmers who are worried about losing their land to developers every single week. Their stories about the history of our soil drive me to keep pushing the Board of Commissioners to act. We are currently working on a formal presentation to ensure these officials understand the long term reality of our county.

Seeing this level of support for the Purchase of Development Rights program reminds me why I started this fight to protect our local farmland. This momentum proves that neighbors care deeply about keeping our county landscape intact for the next generation. We are going to ensure the board hears this message loud and clear.

My family has farmed this land for generations and watching these fields vanish into concrete hurts more than I can say. We need to reach one hundred signatures before I present this to the commissioners so please send this link to your neighbors right now.
