This individual refused help to someone in need of immediate medical assistance.

My sister was bullied by the family for months. She was driven to suicide. My brother found her gasping for air. He ran to Kelli who was right across the street. She answered the door and he stated that our sister had taken a bunch of pills and asked Kelli to come help her breath. Kelli responded with, "There's nothing I can do".

This individual works on emergency flights. The could have been anyone she refused to help.

She took an oath as a nurse to help anyone in need and she broke it.

I have contacted the State Nursing Board about the issue and my family and I are filing complaints.

Help me prevent this from happening to someone else.

Updates

August 26, 2016

I am still processing the amount of people who have reached out to share their own experiences and offer their kindness to my family. This movement belongs entirely to the people who refuse to look away when something is clearly wrong.

August 26, 2016

I am truly overwhelmed by the response to this request and I never imagined so many people would join me in seeking accountability. This momentum belongs entirely to you and your willingness to stand beside my family during this time. I am so grateful to have you with me as we keep pushing for answers.

I'm not a nurse or doctor and I still would have tried something to help her. It's called being a human being.

I have worked in health care for years, and you are legally responsible for trying to save someone's life. You can get charged for coming across the scene of an accident and not administering first aid if necessary. There is no difference in this circumstance.

As a lifeguard and CPR certified and first aid certified, I believe and by law you cannot neglect your duty in helping and assisting ANYONE who needs the help, regardless of skin, race, or gender (that including family or in-laws). To hear that a Nurse neglected in helping an elderly women and to gear this over 'family matters' it's unbelievable and should have her license revoked.

I am an RN and find this story of a nurse not helping a person in distress appalling. She should have her licence revoked.

I can't believe that someone who is a licensed nurse would say such a thing. Let alone to refuse help to anyone when she has the knowledge to help others, especially when that person is in a life or death situation. Yes! Revoke her license and let society take a break from having to worry about ever being placed in someone's care who thinks similar and would possibly risk your life thinking you don't deserve to live! SAVE A LIFE!

My mother has been a nurse for over 30 years and I have seen her help people in any situation and I can't imagine her ever saying no, and as a nurse her personal feelings should never get involved with helping people otherwise she is in the wrong profession

If you can't leave your personal opinions at the door then you shouldn't be a nurse / doctor. You should help anyone in need regardless if you like them or not.
