NO MORE TEACHING CUTS!
Since 2007 Renfrewshire Council have cut 244 teachers proportionately more than any other Council in Scotland...
AND NOW the SNP-led Council plans to cut, from August, teaching time in every Renfrewshire Primary School by 10%. Instead of teachers, children will be ‘taught’ by part-time non-teachers.
No other Council in Scotland has taken this step.
Let’s be clear – currently any non-teachers or volunteers who visit classrooms are ‘extras’ for our children. This plan will actually take away current teachers from the classroom and allow the Council to axe another 60 primary teacher posts.
Please help to protect our children’s education!
Add your voice by signing the petition today:
“I oppose plans by Renfrewshire Council to cut Education again - axing 60 more primary teacher posts and reducing teaching time from qualified teachers by 10%”
