The emails from local business owners keep coming in and their frustration with the lack of transparency is clear. I have spent the last few days trying to get a straight answer from the city council office about their actual timeline. It is exhausting work but the neighborhood history is worth the fight.

STOP CHANGING OUR STREET NAMES!!!!
Ridiculous to force this on local businesses who have to change all their addresses and signs. Leave it alone.
I like the name Interstate Ave. It represents this neighborhood. Why mess with our history?
Waste of taxpayer money to redo all the signage when we have actual problems to fix.
Keep the name. It has been that way for decades and nobody asked us if we wanted it changed.

Not against the person being honored but this is the wrong street. Just leave it be.
