The license is staying and the music is officially allowed to keep playing at the Wight Rock Bar which still feels completely surreal to type out. I honestly never imagined we would walk away with this win when the complaints first started piling up but you all clearly proved how …

This is a petition produced by In-Tune I.O.W on behalf of the Wight Rock Bar. The Wight Rock Bar’s live music license is under review due to noise complaints from the residents who live in vicinity of the venue.

Music is such a vital element of a local community and venues such as the Wight Rock Bar play an important part of supporting our local performers. The Wight Rock Bar is not only a wonderful venue that encapsulates one of the best atmospheres of our local music venues but also offers unrelenting support for our young upcoming artists, as the venue is the main hub that Platform One students use to display their talents. I personally have provided coverage of various live music events held at the Wight Rock Bar and have never seen any trouble at the venue, no excessive noise outside the venue after a gig and have always left with my head in the clouds as I have witnessed some remarkable performances from our local bands there.

It would be a huge loss for our local community to lose such a valuable venue so please sign this petition in support of the Wight Rock Bar keeping it’s Live Music License so that it can keep providing the public an almighty service of exhilarating live music events, amazing customer service and an overall fantastic live music venue that we can’t afford to lose on the Isle of Wight.

Thank you for your support,

Charles Padley (In-Tune I.O.W)

We are grinding toward five hundred signatures and honestly the energy is electric but we need to sprint the rest of the way before the council meeting. If you could just ping this link to a few mates or put it on your socials because I know we have the momentum to bury those noise complaints under a mountain of support.

My son plays here all the time. Great for the local kids to get stage time. Needs to stay open.

Been going for years and its never been a problem. Absolutely ridiculous that they are forced to deal with this.

Such a joke. People move next to a music venue and then complain about the music. Just move elsewhere if you want silence.
