The Goderich BIA has announced, quite fairly, that it will no longer run the Sunday Goderich Flea Market.
I would ask all those that enjoy the Sunday Goderich Flea Market either as a vendor or consumer to please vote yes.
It is now up to us, to find someone either a group, or the Town of Goderich to run this market, or sadly there will no longer be a Sunday market.
Please let me know in the comments below, if you as an individual, or as the representative of a group, would have an interest in helping to run the Sunday market. It would be greatly appreciated.

I need as many people to attend the March 4th Council meeting starting at 4:00pm as possible.

Just moved here and looked forward to walking around & buying produce at the weekend markets in the Summer months. Getting rid of a weekly event that attracts people & promotes local business / products, is never a good idea.
I've been coming to Goderich for over 35 year rised my kids here every Sunday we went to the flea market change is not good now my kids are all grown up it's just my wife and I walk the flea market.It would be sad if you took it away not happy.
Showing my stance on keeping the Sunday market opened. I believe it is one of the major public venues Goderich has to offer. For 3 years I was a part of this Market ... I sold pies and baking goods. My table sold out most week ends. Lots of work but most enjoyable.
I have been visiting the flea market for almost 25 years now, it holds wonderful memories of my father, draws countless tourists to the downtown core and is part of our town's signature. To cancel this Sunday tradition would be a tragedy.
The market is what has drawn us to Goderich on various Sundays. Not only do we shop there, but we patronize the downtown stores and restaurants. In my opinion, you would be jeopardizing the financial health of the entire community.

The Flea Market is a wonderful addition of "colour" in tourist season. I've never quite understood why merchants in permanent store space don't take more advantage of the increased pedestrian clientele that it draws. Very few even open.
