Just to start, I’d like to say to all administrative staff at the University of Hertfordshire that, despite the name, this isn’t a petition – there isn’t meant to be any hostility towards the University or the people in it. This is simply a way of gauging interest in keeping the building open – apologies if this had previously come across in a negative light as we had no intention of that.
What are you signing?
By placing your name on this list you’re simply saying you agree that having the building open for longer would benefit you or the people who use the facilities. This is just to let the people in higher positions know how many people support it. We’re not lobbying against the university for this, so if you’re worried you might be supporting something that could put your education at risk – don’t.
Below is a list of reasons collected from some of the animation course, those of you who use the facilities, and even those of you who don’t, are free to add comments and suggestions. Everyone’s opinion is welcome.

This is exactly the same for every music student who doesn't have the privilege of spend £1500 on a Mac to get the appropriate software. Either keep it open for longer or at least have an area of the LRC designed for music, film, animation and games students.
