The A building believes that the Ilab does not need to be opened 24 hours for the rest of the school year due to the lack of student activity.
Anyone who has been inside the Ilab knows that this statement is far from the truth.
Currently, the hours of operation are:
Monday-Friday: 8am-12pm
Sat & Sun: 12pm-8pm
These hours are very limiting and do not take into consideration the study habits and schedule of students. With the closing of UGL and the lack of study rooms in the dormitories, these news hours are only hurting our full potential as Howard University students.
If you want to see the Ilab hours changed back to 24 hours please sign this petition and spread the word to anyone ( which is everyone) who uses the resources provided by the Ilab.

The volume of support has secured us a meeting with the administration office to discuss the current hour restrictions. We are now preparing our formal proposal to demonstrate the peak usage times that justify a return to twenty four hour access.

The UGL is already closed so where are we supposed to go now? This is just making school life harder than it already is.

My dorm is way too loud to study in. The ilab is the only quiet place i have. Please reconsider.
Ridiculous. Some of us actually have jobs and can only get our work done late at night. KEEP IT OPEN!!
Lack of student activity? Maybe at 8am on a tuesday but that place is packed every night. Clearly they arent actually checking.
