This public house has been trading since the late 1800,s and has now been approached by Tesco to make yet another store. This in turn would have a major impact on the local shops that have also been trading for many many years. This could have such disastrous results for the local traders and yet another gain for the gigantic chain Tesco. Please sign this petition and keep your local (one of a very few) alive and kicking.
Tesco thinks they can just bulldoze our history for another identical store but the massive surge in support proves they have underestimated us. We are building the kind of pressure that makes these massive corporations sweat. Keep the heat on them because this community is not for sale.

I'm sure that there are plenty of food stores, including Tesco very close by. I'm against them buying up this any many other public houses.
