We, the undersigned Arlington residents, oppose rezoning the Safeway site at 5101 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA, to allow for structures taller than 35 feet.  The surrounding neighborhood consists primarily of single-family homes. Rezoning the site to allow taller commercial and residential structures would violate the scope, scale and values of the community.  Already, residents are concerned about traffic congestion, parking overflow onto residential streets and cut-through traffic in the neighborhood.  Rezoning would exacerbate these problems.
