The town of Roslyn is proposing yet another 54 person apartment building in the heart of town. Besides being awful for traffic and overcrowding in schools, it will make our beautiful town look like a city. Absolutely not. And lumber yard 4 story disaster and now empty shell should never have been approved.
Am very concerned about the impact that this development will have on Hempstead Harbor including stormwater runoff and the resulting contamination of Hempstead Harbor as well as flooding risks, particularly in view of projections for sea-level rise and sustainability of the drinking water supply. All of these issues need to be addressed before approving a project of this magnitude. Thank you for your time and consideration!
This industrial style does is out of character for Roslyn, will increase traffic, be a strain on the school district, impact the natural environment and offers no benefits for Roslyn
We don’t even know what impact all the new construction will have on traffic and schools. What’s the benefit that could possibly outweigh the overcrowding in our town?
There is already too much congestion! Roslyn is a beautiful place to live, but the incessant traffic makes getting any where an unpleasant endeavor. Cars refuse to stop so I can cross the street safely or back out of my driveway. Enough is enough! Not to mention development and construction detracts from the health of the harbor and the general quality of life for residents.
Keep it a village and not a city

More development is not what Roslyn and the surrounding communities are about. People move to escape the City and other urban areas for the bucolic environment. To reform or grant rights to build without a future vision of what people really want out of their communities is shortsighted and discounts what original members of the community bought into
