They actually backed down and confirmed full access for the route so we get to keep using the trail exactly how we always have. I am honestly still buzzing from the news because I kept expecting some last minute hurdle to pop up out of nowhere. Keep an eye on …

We the undersigned support retaining the current access to the KVR railbed above Naramata as a multi-use corridor from Smethurst Road to Chute lake, open to everyone including the mobility challenged, tourists and motorized vehicles (including passenger vehicles) that wish to continue to enjoy the KVR and related crown land values.

I was looking at the total earlier and we are creeping up on a thousand names (which is honestly wild because who knew the KVR mattered this much) but we really need a big final shove to get there before I take these to the planners. If everyone who already signed just grabbed the link and sent it to someone who also drives up to Chute Lake we would hit that milestone in an afternoon.

I really thought this might just be a small thing that petered out after a week but looking at the momentum now is actually kind of wild. It makes me think about those summer drives up to Chute Lake and how important it is that everyone still gets to experience that view regardless of how they get there.

There is no reason for any "special interest" group get preference, simply because they demand it. Keep it shared.

I'm going to open a winery at the little tunnel And all off roaders will be welcome, just like the old days when locomotives used to power through there puffing diesel fumes and dripping engine oil on to creasote soaked rail ties. Oooooooooh Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

These types of trail systems need to remain open to all user groups. I am a hiker, cyclist, quad and motorcycle enthusiast, and these rail to trail systems offer something for everyone. I appreciate the efforts to keep these trails open to everyone. Responsibility is the key!

Conflict with cyclists is a non-issue. I have never seen any confrontation between groups. The cyclists also need to learn how to "Share The Road"
