As parents of students at the Greenville School in Howell, NJ, we request that the Board of Education maintain the existing Ramtown/Greenville line. Moving this line will only have minimal impact on the overall utilization of both schools - we've been told that this change will only result in the movement of "about 20 children".

On the other hand, the movement of these children will have a profound personal impact, and one that cannot be measured on maps and graphs. Our children’s education and relationships should not be interrupted in this unnecessary rebalancing.

During the public meetings, we were told that great efforts were being made to "keep communities together" and not divide them. Therefore, we ask that you keep this very promise and not divide the Greenville community.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are worried about how this shift will disrupt your children's routines. Behind the scenes I am preparing our talking points to present to the Board so they understand that these families are more than just numbers on a map.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight lifting because it shows how many neighbors truly value keeping our children together. My own kids are already anxious about these potential changes and knowing so many of you are fighting alongside us gives me real peace of mind.

THESE KIDS ARENT JUST NUMBERS ON A SPREADSHEET!! Stop messing with our neighborhood school when the numbers dont even justify the chaos.

My daughter has been at Greenville since kindergarten and she finally feels settled. Moving her now would be a total mistake. Keep the lines where they are.

Rebalancing should begin with next year's kindergarten. Leave the kids in Greenville where they are!!

This decision is being bases on numbers and has no regards for the emotional strain this will cause the children.

Based on the numbers, this may seem like a small I pact, but to these kids it's huge. Why isolate the and take them away from what is familiar? A school is not just about the education. It's also about the relationships they make.

Having a 4th grader this year, I do not want my child moved for just one year. And if it is for only a small amount of children. I do not see the benefit for a change.
