Keep our kids and educators SAFE
If we don’t fight for our children, who will?
If we don’t fight for our educators, who will?
Our voices must be heard.
Their safety and well-being is non-negotiable.
How can our children learn when their educators are forced into a scenario where they are scared for their life?
Educators are the heroes who make a difference in our children’s lives. They shape our children’s personalities, they develop our children’s curiosity and love of learning, they encourage and challenge our children to be their best selves.
While our local BOE, Superintendents, etc. plan virtual parent meetings, they also choose to mandate in-person MAP testing. This decision and others, are being made even with the community in an uproar.
The county is giving the students the option for in-person or virtual learning. But the same care and level of concern isn’t held for the educators. How is that logical?
Schools should give educators the option to remain virtual without mandating they perform in-person testing and other in-person forms of teaching. Let’s make smart decisions and refrain from forcing educators to choose between their health/their live and their jobs. They can’t be heroes from the grave.
This is a petition to show support for the educators. It’s meant to express concerns for the decisions being made regarding mandatory in-person lessons and teaching. It’s to keep good teachers teaching and our children in a situation where they can thrive.
